Since 2023, new central air conditioners sold in Florida must meet at least 14.3 SEER2 (13.8 SEER2 for larger systems). A system rated around 15 to 17 SEER2 is a strong value for most homes, and variable-speed systems rated higher remove more humidity and lower cooling costs even further.
The federal tax credit for energy-efficient central air conditioners and heat pumps (Section 25C) ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025, so it no longer applies to new installations. Some utilities and manufacturers still offer rebates or promotions from time to time, and we will check what is available during your free assessment.
Yes. We install Mitsubishi ductless mini-split systems, which are ideal for additions, garages, sunrooms, bonus rooms and older homes without ductwork. Each indoor unit has its own thermostat, so you can cool or heat individual rooms efficiently.
Not always. We inspect your existing ducts for leaks, damage and correct sizing before we recommend anything. In Florida attics, leaky or undersized ducts waste a lot of cooled air, so sealing or replacing the problem sections can make a new system far more efficient and comfortable.
Clear a path to the indoor unit (attic, closet or garage) and to the outdoor unit, keep pets in a separate room, and plan for an adult to be home at the start and end of the job. Our team handles everything else, including removal of the old equipment and full cleanup.
